I’m not a photographer, obviously. But I do love photography. Last week I gathered my guts to volunteer being a photographer for my local church’s youth event. All I had and knew was to set the angle, aperture, shutter-speed, ISO, etc. based on reference and taste, not based on in-depth knowledge about photography.
The picked location was Little Tokyo, this area inside Blok M Square filled with authentic Japanese restaurants. My favorites are Daitokyo Sakaba, Kaihomaru, Kira Kira Ginza and Kashiwa. The area is decorated with colorful neon lights and lampions, perfect place to capture a Shibuya-ish photos.
The models in the photoshoot are all cool teenagers (Jeremy, Maverick, Vania and Vanessa) who really know how to pose naturally, as if it’s for a post on their Instagram feeds. Please check out the photos below, captured by yours truly using Sony Alpha7ii, edited using Lightroom and VSCO.
